Some people use to complain after making a mistake or hurting somebody's heart. In my opinion it doesn't make any sense to complain about something you were not forced to do. You have the free agency to make your own decisions and be responsible for them. Now it's done! There is no way back! Try do not cry over spilt milk.

In Portuguese we use a similar expression. It goes like this: Não adianta chorar o leite derramado.
